Captain Charlie was a real life hero. who brought 1600 innocent American passengers home when World War 1 broke
out during his ocean crossing in August 1914. At left, you see the Captain, his lady love, her daughter and her beau aboard the Princess Cecilie as it anchored at dawn in Bar Harbor, Maine.
